Welcome to the Souffle de Vie Vineyard

Wine from the Island of Montreal

A Unique Experience with Great Wines

Welcome to Vignoble Souffle de Vie, located in a magnificent setting in the municipality of Senneville near Sainte-Anne de Bellevue on the West Island of Montreal.

The Souffle de vie vineyard is a pleasant, charming and privileged place that you will love to visit. You'll get to know our passionate team, who will welcome you with explanations about the vineyard and the wines.

Surrounded by the branches of the Saint Laurent, our vineyard benefits from a unique microclimate that protects us from late frosts and allows us to grow certain types of grapes, such as Merlot and Chenin, to maturity.

The Souffle de vie vineyard is the only one in the West Island of Montreal, just twenty-five minutes from the city centre.

We are neighbors of the Morgan Arboretum, a 245-hectare forest that is a sanctuary for flora and fauna sanctuary for flora and fauna, where many nature lovers come for a walk. Deer often visit us in the morning or at dusk between the rows of vines.

The reception room, with its oak floors and wooden arches, opens onto the vat room and its well-stocked shop, where we offer 14 different wines.

You can also take advantage of the large terrace, facing the vineyards, where you can enjoy the accompaniments of fine artisan cheeses and charcuterie, as well as foie gras prepared with our Chardonnay or Mistelle.

All served with good levain bread toasted with our wines. The terrace also includes sofas and wicker armchairs facing the vineyards.

    1540

Les Lestonnac et la naissance de La Mission Haut–Brion

Historically speaking, the two properties have been connected since 1540, when the Bordeaux merchant Arnaud de Lestonnac purchased a plot known as Arregedhuys, the starting point for La Mission Haut-Brion. That same year, he married Marie, the only sister of Jean de Pontac, the true father of Château Haut-Brion. Aware of the tremendous potential of Graves de Haut-Brion thanks to his relationship with the Pontacs, Arnaud de Lestonnac worked hard, plant by plant and plot by plot, to create an estate dedicated entirely to winegrowing.
